ABOUT THE
UNIVERSITY CONTRACTORS ASSOCIATION OF KANSAS
FOUNDED IN 2021
MISSION & HISTORY.
The University Contractors Association of Kansas (UCA) was formed in Topeka in Fall of 2021 to address long overdue deferred maintenance at state universities.

Our mission is to modernize infrastructure on state university campuses across Kansas in order to create a safer, usable, & state-of-the-art educational space for students.

After its inception, the UCA was asked to analyze the data collected by the Kansas Board of Regents on scenarios that could be considered to address deferred building maintenance and strategize potential appropriations streams due to a recent Board of Regents (BoR) prioritization to reduce liability.

Now, we are working to support the BoR priority to reduce liability and implement a strategy. That includes attaining additional funding from the legislature, protecting existing facility funds, partnering with Universities, and spreading awareness on the impact of deferred maintenance.

The UCA relies on its members, the highest quality construction professionals in the state, to operate and function. Consider becoming a member today!
